Kingdom of Sukhothai (Sukhothai)

The Kingdom of Sukhothai is an ancient Thai kingdom that existed from 1238 to 1438. It was founded in what is now north-central Thailand and reached its peak in the 13th-14th centuries.

In 1991, Sukhothai, the former capital of the kingdom, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Numerous architectural and artistic monuments have been preserved here, including temples, palaces and sculptures.
