Description
The cost of opening a Thai bank account for expats in Phuket is 16,000 baht. The account will be opened within one hour if you have a 30-day stamp or a visa that is valid for at least 25 days.
Additional expenses:
- If you do not have TM-30 and Resident Certificate, you will need to pay 3,000 baht for both documents.
- If you do not have an annual housing contract, the additional payment will be 1,500 baht.
- If you are over 60 years old, the additional payment will be 3,000 baht (insurance is more expensive).
